Your first hour

Four short moves for your first hour in Nexa Agora: talk to Silvestro, add a document, start a project, and invite a colleague.

For everyoneGetting started · page 4 of 35

Your first hour in a new workspace comes down to four moves. You ask Silvestro for something, you give the agents something to read, you plan a real piece of work, and you bring a colleague in. Each move takes a few clicks and links to the page that explains it in full.

Before you start#

  • Finish the short Settings tour if you can: your name and, for owners and admins, the Company context. Agents keep the Company context in mind in every conversation. See Create your workspace.
  • Steps 1 to 3 are for everyone. Step 4, inviting, is for owners and admins.

1. Talk to Silvestro#

Silvestro is the agent you talk to when you want something done. Silvestro listens to what you mean and proposes the right way to handle it.

  1. 1

In the sidebar, open Talk › Silvestro.

On the empty chat, Silvestro says How can I help today?

  2. 2

Click one of the starters, or write your own request in the box Message Silvestro….

  3. 3

Press Enter to send. Press Shift+Enter for a new line.

01Start from a starter or from your own words.

Silvestro answers, or proposes the lane that fits your request: an answer now, an Assignment, a Playbooks Work, a specialist in the same conversation, or a project on the Blueprint. An Assignment is a piece of work that someone takes over and delivers back to you.

Your conversation is kept. History at the top of the page lists it.

Note

A request in chat never becomes a project by itself.

2. Upload a document to the Library#

The Library is the shared home of your company's documents. Agents can find and cite what you put there.

  1. 1

Open Knowledge › Library, then click Upload at the top.

The window Add documents to the Library opens.

  2. 2

Under Whose documents are these?, choose one:

    You can change this later.

    Private
    only you read them.
    Team
everyone in the workspace reads them, agents included.
  3. 3

Drop files, folders or ZIP archives on the drop area, or click Choose files or Choose a folder.

For example, Sara adds Oceanic Teas — brand guidelines.pdf as a Team document.

02Choose Private or Team before you upload.
  1. 4

    Click Upload.

The window shows the progress. You can close it while the upload continues, with Close — it keeps going.

To have Silvestro read the document, type @ and a word of its title in the chat box, then pick it from the list.

3. Start a project#

A project is a coordinated piece of work with its own board of tasks, documents and agents. Every project starts on the Project Blueprint: the contract of the project, written before the project exists.

  1. 1

Open Build › Projects, then click Create a project in the page header.

    The Project Blueprint opens.

03Every project starts from Create a project.
  1. 2

Write what the project must deliver, and finish its contract.

04The Blueprint is the contract that founds the project.
  1. 3

Press GO when you are satisfied.

The project appears in Projects, with its cockpit.

Note

Founding a project is always your act, on the Blueprint. An agent never founds a project.

4. Invite one colleague#

This step is for owners and admins.

  1. 1

Open Governance › Organization, then click Invite at the top right.

On the Command Center, Invite a teammate leads here too.

  2. 2

Type the colleague's Email, for example aiko@harborpine.example.

  3. 3

Under What they can do, choose one option, for example Colleague.

  4. 4

    Optional: pick a Team.

  5. 5

    Click Send invite.

The window shows Invite sent, with Expires, Joins as and Team.

05The invitation goes to one mailbox only.

The link is valid for 7 days by default.

What you will see#

How can I help today? — Silvestro's empty chat, with five starters.
Add documents to the Library, then Upload finished — the upload window.
Invite sent — the invitation left, with Expires, Joins as and Team.
Language model is currently unavailable. Responses may be delayed or fail. — Silvestro cannot answer normally right now.

Good to know#

  • The Start something shortcuts on the Command Center do the same moves: Add a document, Start a project and more.
  • A file you attach in Silvestro's chat is also kept in your Library, as a Private document.
  • A Team document is readable by everyone in the workspace, agents included. A Private one is readable only by you and anyone you grant access to.
  • Uploading to the Library requires the right to upload documents. Files larger than 50 MB are left out of an upload.
  • What agents spend comes from the workspace's credits.
