Find your way around

Learn the sidebar, jump to a section with search, switch workspace, read the dots, and start your day from the Command Center.

For everyoneGetting started · page 2 of 35

Every page of Nexa Agora shares the same frame: the sidebar on the left, a top bar with the path of the page you are on, and the page itself. This page shows you how to move around that frame, find help on any page, and use the Command Center as your home.

Learn the six clusters#

The sidebar groups the whole platform into six clusters. A cluster is a named group of items in the sidebar. These are the only clusters, top to bottom:

ClusterItems
HomeCommand Center
TalkSilvestro, Agora, Personal Buddy
BuildAgent Lab, Projects, Playbooks, Design Studio
FocusMy Desk, Schedule, Pending Actions
KnowledgeLibrary, Company Brain
GovernanceOrganization, Operations, Settings
01The six clusters hold every part of Nexa Agora.
Note

The Project Blueprint has no row of its own in the sidebar. It opens from Create a project in the header of the Projects page.

The top bar shows where you are as Nexa Agora › Section › page. Each part is clickable, so you can always go back up a level.

Fold a cluster, collapse or resize the sidebar#

  1. 1

Click a cluster name, for example Build, to fold it.

Folded, the cluster shows how many items it holds, and a small dot if one of them has something unread. Click the name again to unfold it.

  2. 2

Click the chevron at the top, Collapse sidebar, to shrink the sidebar to a rail of icons.

Hover an icon to see its name.

02The collapsed rail keeps every item one click away.
  1. 3

Click Expand sidebar, or your avatar at the bottom of the rail, to open it again.

  2. 4

Drag the right edge of the sidebar, Resize sidebar, to make it wider or narrower.

Jump to a section with search#

  1. 1

Click the search box Search… at the top of the sidebar, or press ⌘K on Mac (Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux).

A window opens with Search or jump to….

  2. 2

Type part of a name. The list filters as you type.

03Type a few letters to narrow the list.
  1. 3

Use the ↑ and ↓ keys and press Enter, or click an item, to go there. Press Esc or click Close to close the window.

The list holds Command Center, Talk to Silvestro, Projects, Playbooks, Schedule, Project Blueprint, My Desk, Agent Lab, Company Brain, Organization, Operations and Settings. When nothing matches, the window shows No results.

Switch workspace from the account menu#

  1. 1

At the bottom of the sidebar, find your avatar and your name, with a ⋮ button, Account menu.

  2. 2

    Click ⋮.

If you belong to two or more workspaces, the menu starts with Workspace and the list of your workspaces. The current one has a check mark.

  3. 3

Click another workspace to switch to it.

04The account menu lists your workspaces when you have more than one.

The menu also holds New workspace, Send feedback and Log out. A suspended workspace carries the word Suspended; open it to read why.

Open a new workspace#

  1. 1

    Click ⋮, then New workspace.

The window says A separate space with its own agents, projects and knowledge. Your first one is free.

  2. 2

    Type a Name.

  3. 3

Type a Workspace ID: lowercase letters, numbers and dashes. It is used in the workspace's web address.

If you have already used your free workspace, the window offers to create the new one as a paid workspace, with Continue to checkout.

Note

New workspace appears only for accounts that may open workspaces of their own. An account created through an invitation cannot open one.

Read the dots on the sidebar#

  • A small red dot means something is waiting: unread messages on Agora, items to handle on Pending Actions, or approvals on Projects.
  • A small purple dot next to Agora means An agent is working on something for you.
  • A dot beside Schedule lights up when an appointment in your calendar is about to start.
05Red means something waits for you. Purple means an agent is at work for you.

Ask the page's resident#

Most pages have a resident: an agent that knows that page and answers questions about it.

  1. 1

Click the pill Ask followed by the agent's name, near the page title. For example Ask Themis on Organization, Ask Lumen in Design Studio, Ask Tessa in a project, or Ask Chobin on Operations.

On My Desk, Luna sits in the left rail instead: click the feather, Ask Luna — writing help.

A drawer opens on the right with a chat. The agent knows the page you are on.

  2. 2

Close the drawer with the ✕.

06The resident answers questions about the page you are on.

On a page without its own resident, Ask Silvestro in the top bar opens Silvestro. At the bottom of the sidebar, Ask Beatrice or Ask Virgilio, your onboarding guide, is always there.

Start from the Command Center#

The Command Center is where you land after signing in.

  1. 1

Click Command Center, or Nexa Agora in the top bar, to come home.

  2. 2

Read Today's brief — from Silvestro at the top: a short read on what most needs you. You can hide it and bring it back with Show brief.

  3. 3

Look at The company right now, a live strip of clickable figures that refresh in real time.

  4. 4

Use the Productivity column: My day with your tasks, Recent activity, Projects in motion, and Start something, with one shortcut per tool.

  5. 5

Use the Governance column: Decisions for you and the oversight of the agents.

07The Command Center shows the state of things and where to start.

With a calendar connected, My day also shows In your calendar today.

Switch between light and dark#

Click the sun or moon button at the right of the top bar. When the theme follows your computer, the button says Following system theme — click to override.

Personalize how Nexa Agora looks#

  1. 1

Click Personalize, at the bottom right of every page.

A panel opens on the right.

  2. 2

Under Theme, pick light or dark.

  3. 3

Under Palette, pick one of six looks: Nexa, Calm Earth, Tech Minimal, Warm Modern, Night Sea or Pastel Aurora.

  4. 4

Under Accent, pick the colour of buttons, links and highlights, or keep Auto.

  5. 5

Under Background, pick the page background. It applies in light mode only.

  6. 6

Under Your seal, pick the colour of your seal, or keep Auto, which gives each name its own colour.

08Each person chooses their own look; it is saved on this device.

Close the panel with the ✕. The same choices, with interface sounds, tips while agents think and notifications, are in Governance › Settings › Appearance.

What you will see#

No results — nothing in the search list matches what you typed.
Workspace switching isn't enabled yet., You're not a member of that workspace. or Couldn't switch workspace. — the switch did not happen.
All clear — No decisions are waiting on you. on the Command Center. A member sees Nothing is waiting on you. Admins handle approvals.
You're all clear for today — My day has nothing for you.

Good to know#

  • Search jumps to sections; it does not search your content. To find documents, use the Library. To find discussions, use the search in Agora. To find what the company knows, use the Company Brain.
  • The sidebar's width, its collapsed state and folded clusters are remembered in the browser you use, not on your account.
  • Everyone sees the same six clusters and every item in them. What a page lets you change depends on your role, and the page says so.
  • The workspace list in the account menu appears only when you belong to two or more workspaces.
