Playbooks
Show Nexa how your company works, open a Work, build it with Silvestro and colleagues, rehearse its parts, and take it elsewhere.
Playbooks is where your company keeps how it does a kind of work, and works on one instance of it together with the AI. It is not a form and not a workflow builder: you answer as much or as little as you like, watch the work take shape, and open the piece worth doing properly. Nothing here runs on its own. This page shows you how to discover, open and build a Work.
Before you start
- Open Build › Playbooks. The Playbooks button in the Projects header, and Show Nexa how you work on the Command Center, lead here too.
- In the Italian interface, this section is called Business Template.
Two things live in Playbooks:
- A Method — the reusable way of working: the parts of the job, the criteria, the decisions that recur, the references, the people and agents usually involved.
- A Work — one time the company does that job, with this time's inputs, decisions and results. A Work stays until you are done with it, across sessions.
Discover a piece of work on the map
Open Build › Playbooks.
The page opens on Discovery, with your map beside it.
Under Where do you want to start?, pick a way in:
Answer the short questions by picking the closest word, or click Say it your own way and Add.
Every answer becomes a piece on the map. Take this back removes an answer and everything after it.
Follow the road until it ends in a piece of work, for example "Prepare a packaging brief".
Shortcuts: I already know the work I want to explore, or Stop here and open the work from what I said.
While you explore, nothing runs and no AI is called: the same answers always give the same screen.
Open a Work
Read the Preview: The name of the work, The summary it opens with and What Nexa carries in.
Click Edit it to change the summary; Silvestro uses it to start the conversation.
Click Open work.
The Work opens. The piece stays on your map either way.
The Work opens with no parts, documents, colleagues or method. Those are yours to add once you are inside.
Find your Works again
Below the map, Already here lists your Works as Open, On hold or Closed. Click one to open it.
To start a new road, click Discover other work, or Back to the three ways in. Nothing already on the map moves.
Build the Work in conversation
Silvestro writes first: greets you, says what the title and notes already tell, and prepares the first parts or asks only what a first version needs.
Write in the box and click Send.
To give material, click Attach a file or From the Library. A document you attach is read in that turn, and recorded under What this work uses.
Correct by talking, for example "add a risk column". The colleague changes that same part.
To bring in a colleague:
- When a colleague proposes a specialist, click Bring … in. Nothing happens until you say so.
- Or click Call a colleague yourself, or type @ and the name.
The line Who answers when you call nobody by name: shows who conducts. Click Change to pick another.
Work on the surface and its parts
The surface, beside the conversation, holds the work itself.
Change its form with Show as: Text, Table, Matrix, Checklist, Comparison, Timeline, Flow, Cards or Custom.
Read each part's tag:
Use a part's actions. Each part shows the ones that fit its state:
To note an open point, click + Something still open, type it, then Put it on the table. Done with this takes it off. Undo reverses your last change to a part.
Rehearse a part on real material
On a part, click Rehearse.
One answer, on the real content, read as you. Nothing is saved, nobody is notified, no memory is kept.
Pick a colleague, and choose documents from the Library, or none.
Click Rehearse once.
Read the Trial output and What was read.
Choose:
If the material is too large, the trial does not run, and offers Narrow the documents or Name a colleague on a larger model.
Set a reminder
Click Remind me about this in the Work's header.
Fill in What to come back to and When the reminder arrives, then click Remind me.
At that hour you get one card, and nothing else. Nothing here chases you.
Put the Work down and pick it up
Click Put it down.
Optionally, write Where you were, for example "waiting on the supplier numbers". Click Put it down.
The Work stays exactly as it is. Nothing expires.
Later, open it from Already here and click Pick it up again.
A closed Work shows Closed, with Reopen. All work returns to the Playbooks entrance.
Take a copy out
Click Export. You take a copy; the Work stays here, open.
Choose:
Each part also has its own copy button. A table pastes as a table.
Continue elsewhere
Click Continue elsewhere.
Pick a door:
Before you choose, the page says what comes along. Wherever you land, Back to «…» stays at the top.
Grow a Method from a Work
In the conversation, say "update the Method with what we learned". The Work shows what is transferable, such as the way of working, the criteria and the structure, and what stays with this Work. You choose what moves.
What you will see
Good to know
- Playbooks executes nothing: no automatic sequence, no start button, no project born behind your back.
- Every colleague in a Work follows the same way of working and answers in the language you write in.
- Colleagues search the company's Team documents when needed. A Private document enters only when you bring it.
- A specialist joins only on your approval.
- Asking a colleague to take on a part opens a real Assignment in its own room. Its delivery is recorded in the Work and starts nothing else.
- A Method may describe how often a job recurs, but that alone schedules nothing.
- An assistant you connected can edit the Work too. Every change is attributed to who asked and who carried it out.
- The map is kept for you. If the same map is open in two tabs, the last save wins.
- A working tool with its own logic, such as a calculator or a form, is built in a Work, whose surface can run it safely.
